About Soham Lodge Care Centre
Soham Lodge is a welcoming, well equipped care centre, pleasantly situated in its own landscaped gardens just outside the town of Soham. At Soham Lodge our excellent facilities combined with invaluable expertise ensure that every resident is cared for in a safe and supportive environment.
The care centre offers 34 clean and comfortable bedrooms with large en-suite wet rooms. In addition to this, we have a newly refurbished coffee lounge and a recently redecorated day room where residents can relax and enjoy a full programme of activities and entertainment. Visitors are welcome at any time, and pets can visit by arrangement.
Soham Lodge has just completed superb extensions to 14 bedrooms, which now provide a separate lounge area leading to a decked outside space enjoying countryside views.
Our excellent Bariatric Care facility is second to none, providing state-of-the-art facilities, including a recently opened bariatric care suite and a new, fully equipped physio room.
At Soham Lodge we understand the importance of creating a familiar home from home environment. With this in mind, we encourage residents to personalise their room with photographs, pictures, ornaments and small pieces of furniture so that they can feel instantly at home.
We have CCTV coverage, car parking, and secured gardens. Many professionals visit the care centre on a regular basis, including a GP, chiropodist, physiotherapists, a hairdresser and optician. In addition, we are part of a library at home scheme and offer church services.
TECHNOLOGY
Soham Lodge boasts the latest technology in computerised care records and handheld devices providing fast and up-to-date information. Wi-Fi is available throughout the centre. Every bedroom is fitted with an Echo Dot smart speaker, a state-of-the-art nurse call system and PIR falls alarm system.
The care centre provides tablets for the residents to enjoy video calls or sensory apps. We have virtual photo frames dotted around the building showcasing the residents’ participation in our many fun events and activities.
Each room is fitted with the latest UV AirSteril technology system. A Samsung 55-inch interactive Flipboard is the latest addition to the care centres technology provision.
HOUSEKEEPING
Our dedicated housekeeping team operates seven days a week both morning and evening to ensure that the building is clean and smelling fresh. Our modern laundry facilities maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
GREAT FOOD, GOOD COMPANY, BALANCED NUTRITION
At Soham Lodge Care Centre, we understand the importance of providing a delicious, nutritious and well-balanced menu for our residents. Our kitchen team works hard to produce freshly prepared meals, cooked on site using good quality ingredients.
For some residents, a great meal is the high point of their day and with this in mind, the kitchen team always considers the preferences and dietary requirements of the residents. Residents enjoy monthly ‘Around the World’ dining experience days hosted by the kitchen team and activity provision. Meals can be enjoyed in the company of other residents or in the privacy of their own room.
